Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - Niklas Backstrom posted 34 saves to help the Minnesota Wild take a 3-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Monday.

Matt Cullen, Jonas Brodin and Charlie Coyle each had a goal while Pierre-March Bouchard had two assists for the Wild, who have won four of their last five.

It was Minnesota's first win in Vancouver since Jan. 31, 2009, an 11-game span and the win moved the Wild two points ahead of the Canucks for the top spot in the Northwest Division.

Henrik Sedin scored the lone goal and Roberto Luongo stopped 22-of-25 shots in the loss for the Canucks, who had a two-game winning streak stopped.
