ATLANTA -- Georgia State wide receiver Albert Wilson was named Colonial Athletic Association Co-Special Teams Player of the Year as well as first-team all-conference to headline the Panthers' selections on the 2012 All-CAA Football team.

Punter Matt Hubbard earned second-team All-CAA honors, and running back Donald Russell was tabbed to the third-team.

In addition to sharing the Special Teams Player of the Year honor with William and Mary's B.W. Webb, Wilson was named first-team All-CAA as a kickoff returner and third-team all-conference as a wide receiver.

Wilson, a junior from Port St. Lucie, Fla., led the league in kickoff returns with a 25.9-yard average, highlighted by his 100-yard touchdown against Old Dominion. He also led the Panthers with 48 receptions for 947 yards and seven touchdowns. With receiving, rushing and returns, Wilson averaged 164.5 all-purpose yards per game, over 35 yards more than any other player in the league.

Hubbard, a sophomore from Peachtree City, Ga., is second in the CAA with an average of 43.1 yards per kick.

Russell, the senior from West Palm Beach, Fla., made the all-conference team despite a season-ending knee injury early in the eighth game of the season. He was leading the CAA in rushing at the time and finished with 747 yards, averaging 6.2 yards per carry.
