Three CAU football players named to the All-Conference Team

Atlanta -- Senior Vauchard Goodridge led a defensive trio of Clark Atlanta University football players named to the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) All-Conference Team announced today.

Goodridge, a two-time All-Conference selection, was named the SIAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year with 51 tackles, 16 tackles for losses, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He ranked in the top 30 among other NCAA Division II players in tackles for a loss and was CAU's lone Preseason All-Conference player.

Joining Goodridge on this year's conference team was the SIAC Freshman Player of the Year linebracker Se'Cortney Gardner. He had a stellar season in his freshman campaign with 62 tackles for the Panthers season. Clark Atlanta sophomore Bernard Williams rounded out the awards as the a second team All-Conference selection. Williams led the team and finished third in the conference with 93 tackles and topped the conference in fumbles recovered (4).

Academically, junior Ashton Fontenot led the way for the Panthers on the All-Academic Team with a 3.77 grade point average as a Computer Information Systems major.

The Panthers finished the season 2-8 overall and fifth in the SIAC East Division.
