THE FLATS -- Finishing out its home schedule with a pair of games this week, Georgia Tech looks to snap a two-game losing streak when it hosts Maryland in a regionally-televised Atlantic Coast Conference game at 8 p.m. Wednesday night at McCamish Pavilion. It is the only regular-season meeting between the two teams, who each won at home against the other in 2011-12.
Tech (14-12, 4-10 ACC) looks to recover from a pair of double-digit losses last week to North Carolina and Virginia. The Yellow Jackets are in a group of six ACC teams within three games of each other in the bottom half of the conference standings heading into the final two weeks of the regular season.
Wednesday's game can be heard over the Georgia Tech IMG Sports Network (790 AM, 106.7 FM in Atlanta), as well as satellite radio (Sirius Ch. 104). The game is being televised on the ACC Network, including WATL-TV in Atlanta, and is also available online via ESPN3 outside the ACC footprint.
Maryland (19-8, 7-7 ACC) is alone in sixth place in the ACC standings following its 72-59 win over Clemson Saturday. The Terrapins have won four of their last six games, including a home win over Duke on Feb. 16, but are 1-5 on the road in the ACC.
Following Wednesday's game, Tech closes out its home schedule with Senior Night against NC State at 6 p.m. Sunday. The Yellow Jackets will finish the regular season on the road next week at Miami and Boston College.
