NCAA Game Summary - Cornell at Vanderbilt

Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Kyle Fuller paced four teammates in double figures with 17 points as the Vanderbilt Commodores held off the Cornell Big Red, 66-55, in a non-conference tilt at Memorial Gymnasium.

Kedren Johnson scored 15 points, Rod Odom tallied 13 points and seven rebounds, and Josh Henderson had 11 points for Vanderbilt (5-4), which has won three in a row for the first time all season.

Shonn Miller recorded a double-double with 13 points and 15 boards for Cornell (4-6), while Eitan Chermerinski added 10 points on 4-of-4 from the field.

The Commodores shot a lofty 53.9 percent from the field in the first half on their way to a comfortable 36-24 lead at intermission. The Big Red made just 8-of-30 from the floor in the frame (.267).

Cornell started the second half hot, opening on a 14-4 run to get the game to within two, 40-38, with 14:20 to play, but Vanderbilt responded with a 12-2 run of its own to put its advantage back to double digits. The Big Red never got closer than seven points of the lead the rest of the way.

Vanderbilt shot 10-of-20 from three-point range, while Cornell was just 5- of-28 from beyond the arc.
