ATHENS, Ga. -- The No. 6 Georgia Lady Bulldogs bettered their largest margin of victory this season to defeat Lipscomb, 93-42, Sunday afternoon at Stegeman Coliseum.

"There's a number of things that happened that made us smile today," said head coach Andy Landers. "First of all, coming out of the gate, J.J. (Jasmine James) and Anne Marie (Armstrong) were very, very good. J.J. was excellent offensively, defensively and as the quarterback, and Anne Marie rebounded the ball early, scored, knocked down a couple of 3's and just played the way you'd like to see Anne Marie play. They got us off on the right foot and then everybody that came in contributed as soon as they went on the floor."

Georgia (11-0) boasted an evenly distributed offense, as four Lady Bulldogs put up double-digit scoring efforts. James and Tiaria Griffin both scored 18 points, while Armstrong notched 15 points and Shacobia Barbee tallied 13 points. All four players recorded season-high numbers.

Lipscomb (1-7) was led by Hannah Phillips, who had 11 points and five rebounds.

Barbee and Griffin pulled down season- and career-high rebounds, with eight and six, respectively. Griffin also recorded a season-high three steals, Khaalidah Miller dished out a season-high five assists and Erika Ford tallied a career-high five steals.

As a team, Georgia notched a season-high 46 rebounds while putting up its second-highest score this season. The Lady Bulldogs scored 94 points in their Nov. 20 victory over Savannah State.

For the game, Georgia shot 51.4 percent from the field, its third game this season shooting over 50 percent. The Lady Bulldogs held the Lady Bisons to a 30.6 percent shooting effort.

Georgia used a six-point run by Jasmine James to sail to a 14-0 lead early in the game. Once they established their significant advantage, the Lady Bulldogs led by no less than 10 points at all times.

The Lady Bisons attempted to get back into the game with a 9-2 surge that started with eight minutes left in the half and closed the gap to 32-21. However, layups on back-to-back Georgia possessions sparked a 17-1 run that the Lady Bulldogs used to end the period.

Georgia scored 21 points off 17 Lipscomb turnovers in the first half, while only allowing the Lady Bisons to score one point off eight Lady Bulldog turnovers. Winning the turnover margin allowed Georgia to enter halftime with a 49-22 lead.

The Lady Bulldogs started strong, with a 20-4 run that put them up 69-26. Georgia controlled the second period and refused to allow Lipscomb to sink consecutive baskets.

The Lady Bulldogs continued to dominate the turnover margin, scoring a total of 41 points off of 33 Lipscomb turnovers. In all, Georgia dished out a season-best 23 assists while committing just 15 turnovers. The Lady Bulldogs tallied 23 steals, a season-high effort as well.

The Lady Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday, when they travel to TCU to take on the Horned Frogs at 8:00 p.m. ET. The game will be televised regionally on FOX Sports Southwest, and also will air on FOX College Sports Channel nationally.
