Fort Worth, TX (Sports Network) - Kyle Busch capped off a perfect weekend at Texas Motor Speedway by winning Saturday night's NRA 500.

Busch, who won the 300-mile Nationwide Series event at this fast 1.5-mile racetrack on Friday, started on the pole and led 171 of 334 laps in the Sprint Cup Series race.

Martin Truex Jr. held the lead in the late going, but Busch beat Truex off of pit road during the last round of pit stop under caution with less than 20 laps remaining. Truex, who has not won a Sprint Cup race since June 2007 at Dover, crossed the finish line 0.5 seconds behind Busch. It's the sixth time he's finished in the runner-up spot since his lone victory six years ago.

Busch's 26th career win came in his 300th Sprint Cup start. His first victory this season came three weeks ago in Fontana, Calif.

Carl Edwards finished third after dealing with an ill-handling car throughout the race. Greg Biffle, who won this race one year ago, placed fourth, while Joey Logano completed the top-five. Logano had to start from the rear of the field since his car was not on the grid when the command was given to start engines. His No. 22 car failed pre-race inspection, as did his Penske Racing teammate, Brad Keselowski, in the No. 2 car. NASCAR confiscated the rear-end housing and other parts from their Fords. Penalties for both teams could be forthcoming later in the week. Keselowski finished ninth.
