(USA TODAY) 18 years after the release of the original classic, LeBron James is set to star in a sequel to Space Jam. According to a Deadline Hollywood report, Warner Bros. is developing a screenplay for the project as a vehicle for the Miami Heat superstar and four-time MVP.
The original Space Jam, of course, starred Michael Jordan and characters from the Looney Tunes universe. It's unclear whether the new film will also feature other NBA players the way the original co-starred the likes of Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, Shawn Bradley and Muggsy Bogues.
If James agrees to be in Space Jam, it won't be the only film project James has on his plate. In December, it was revealed that he was set to co-star with Kevin Hart in a new film called Ballers.
There's conflicting reports about whether Space Jam 2 will happen, but that didn't stop Twitter users from having a lot of plot ideas for the flick.
