"When he was 7, he told he was going to the Olympics, and here he is 20 years, he's there, and she's so proud of him," Coup said.
When the U.S. men's team didn't list Kyle's name, there was confusion at the Trek Bicycle shop. Lisa price immediately took her phone out and began texting Kyle's mom in Sochi to find out what happened.
"Well I asked if she was okay - of course she's not so okay. I asked for prayer, and I asked if Kyle's going to get a medal and she said no," Price said.
Price and the other friends of Carr said he has their support - medal or no medal; he's worked hard and made it to the Olympics and they are very proud of him.
