DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- Three members of the Bloods street gang have been indicted in DeKalb County for shooting a teenager to death.
Marcus Estes, Antarious Johnson and Malcolm Wilson, who are all teens, are accused of murdering 19-year-old Derrick Linkhorn in a storage area at the Southern Pines Apartments on Mar. 8, 2012. Linkhorn was shot twice.
The victim knew Johnson from when they were classmates at Elizabeth Andrews High School in Stone Mountain, according to information presented in court.
"This was a senseless and cowardly act that claimed the life of this young man," DeKalb County District Attorney Robert James said in a statement. "My office will continue to dedicate our resources to combating gangs in DeKalb County."
All three defendants are in custody. They face charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, firearm possession and violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.
A trial date has not yet been set.
