(ATLANTA BUSINESS CHRONICLE) -- Don't look through the Sunday paper for Kroger's weekly ads and specially priced items.
The Cincinnati-based grocery giant said it will release the ads and items online and in stores on Wednesdays instead of Sundays, effective Mar. 5.
The new schedule will give customers more time to plan their weekend shopping trips. Shoppers can also take advantage of weekly discounts before the weekend.
Weekly specials will be valid on a Wednesday through Tuesday schedule, according to Kroger.
"Kroger is always looking for new ways to support our loyal customers and maximize their savings," said Glynn Jenkins, spokesperson for Kroger's Atlanta Division. "By allowing our customers to purchase items before the busy weekend, we hope to help them save money and time."
Kroger's Atlanta Division is one of the Southeast's largest retail grocery chains with more than 185 stores covering Georgia, South Carolina and eastern Alabama.
