GILMER COUNTY, Ga. -- It began to snow before dawn in Gilmer County. Big, fluffy flakes left a two-inch blanket of snow across Ellijay.
By the time it stopped mid-afternoon, people began to take to the streets to make those last minute preparations, well aware that another round of winter weather is on its way and it could bring something much worse.
"We live twelve miles from the nearest store back on the mountain. No neighbors, no friends just dirt roads," said Ross Poss. "If the power goes out, no water, no heat -- no nothing."
And even thought the roads were no problem Tuesday, with colder temperatures on the way there's concern of real problem on Wednesday.
