ATLANTA -- A week after security had to evacuate a capacity crowd during a Panic! At the Disco concert due to a substantial crack in the floor, the Tabernacle will reopen for business this week.

In a press release Monday night, Tabernacle officials said only one show would have to be rescheduled due to the safety hazard:

We can't say thank you enough for all the support and love we have received from the Tabernacle community. It is always disappointing having to postpone or cancel any show, but the safety of our concert goers, performers and crew members is our main priority.

City officials have inspected the venue and determined there was no structural failure of the floor system. Our subsequent investigation of the building shows areas that require additional attention to insure the ongoing integrity of the building for many years to come. We are working to prepare the venue for our upcoming shows this weekend. However, due to inclement weather the Lauryn Hill concert originally scheduled for Thursday, February 13th has been moved to Monday, February 17th. Tickets for the original February 13th date will be honored.

The concert schedule resumes Friday, February 14th for the Sold Out Trey Anastasio Band show.

Fire Marshal Lt. Ulysses Gladden decided to end the Panic! At the Disco concert prematurely after viewing two-by-six beams holding the floor up which had completely cracked from one side to the other.
