(USA Today) -- Machete don't like cowardly egg throwing.

No matter what Justin Bieber's role in a highly publicized egg vandalism incident being investigated by police turns out to be, it's not going to meet the approval of tough guy actor Danny Trejo.

During a phone interview Trejo, who spent time in San Quentin prison before turning his life around, addressed reports of Bieber's involvement in the egg incident at a neighbor's house.

"Oh my God, they are after Justin Bieber again. Can you imagine going to jail and some hardened convicts ask you, 'What are you here for, kid?' and he goes 'Egging my neighbor's house,' " said Trejo, the star of Machete Kills (out on Blu-Ray/DVD). "They would beat the (expletive) out of him for wasting eggs."

Trejo said if he were going to throw eggs at a neighbor's house, he'd walk up the driveway and do it in the daytime.

"If you're going to do something, Holmes, just stand up," said Trejo, referring to Bieber. "It don't matter if you get your ass kicked or not. You stood up. But this kid is going to run into his house after doing something. He's going to throw eggs at somebody at night."

"You have to be a little girl ... actually girls are not bad," Trejo added, before referring to his Machete co-star. "Michelle Rodriguez could kick his ass."

Trejo said Bieber should watch himself since prison is not where the young, troubled Canadian star wants to be.

"Don't go, kid. I'm telling you, you're not a tough guy. All of these rappers that say they got street cred that are telling you that you are tough, none of them have been to the pen either," said Trejo.
