Georgia Head Football Coach March Richt has an important vacancy to fill on his coaching staff, as defensive coordinator Todd Grantham is leaving Athens to assume the same position at Louisville.
Fred Kalil of 11 Alive Sports has confirmed through a source within the Louisville Athletic Department that Grantham will be defensive coordinator on the staff of new Louisville Head Coach Bobby Petrino for next season.
Grantham had served on the Georgia coaching staff for the past 4 seasons. Georgia finished 11th in the SEC in scoring defense last season, surrendering close to 30 points per game .
Grantham's departure comes just days after Georgia secondary coach Scott Lakatos announced his resignation. Now Coach Richt has a pair of positions to fill on the Georgia coaching staff.
