POLK COUNTY, Ga. -- The Polk County Water Authority has issued a boil water advisory for residents.

Water authority spokeswoman Jill Price said the county's Deaton Spring water facility experienced multiple pump failures, while the Mulco Spring site is having electrical issues. Because of this, residents are asked to conserve water until further notice.

"We realize this is an inconvenience and we are working to correct the problems as quickly and safely as possible," Price said in a statement.
