WARNER ROBINS, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities say eight people have been arrested in a gambling raid in Houston County.
State and local authorities raided 14 businesses and homes on Friday and seized "monetary assets" from coin-operated gambling machines.
In a statement, officials with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said locations that had gambling machines were licensed by the state but are suspected of paying out cash for winning credits.
State law allows for the credits to be redeemed only for lottery tickets or store merchandise. Those arrested face possible charges of felony commercial gambling.
