ATLANTA -- Deering Road in Midtown Atlanta has been reopened after being shut down for much of the day Monday.
Atlanta city repair crews shut down the roadway after a water main break flooded part of the roadway where it crosses Kenwood Avenue.
City crews worked much of the day Monday to repair the break in the six-inch water main. Atlanta Watershed Management spokesperson Glennis Curry said about 20 homes were affected, but water has since been restored to all customers.
Deering Road had been shut down near Peachtree Street for several months earlier this year by repairs near the Amtrak Station.
