(WXIA) -- At least three pedestrians have been hit by cars since Thursday evening in different accidents throughout metro Atlanta.
A man was struck and killed at around 7:30 p.m. Thursday on southbound Interstate 85 before the Jonesboro Road exit. Union City police have not released any more information.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner's office confirms a man was struck and killed by a tractor trailer. Information about the victim is not available.
Another pedestrian was fatally struck at around 3 a.m. Friday on North Marietta Parkway between Wallace Road and I-75 in Cobb County.
Marietta police spokesman David Auld said the 20-year-old victim was walking in the westbound lanes when he was hit. He was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver who hit the victim left the scene. Anyone with information in this crash is asked to call Marietta police at 770-794-5357.
The third accident happened at around 5 a.m. Friday on River Run in Sandy Springs. Dispatchers said the male pedestrian survived, but did not have any other information.
