ATLANTA -- Police have made an arrest in the November shooting of an off-duty Atlanta police officer.
Jemarcus Deshun Jordan was taken into custody Tuesday.
The 23-year-old suspect is accused of shooting Officer Christopher Smith in the face and leg on Nov. 9.

Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said Smith was off-duty and working a second job on Hardee Street when the suspect ambushed him and shot him with a shotgun. Smith survived and was released from Grady Memorial Hospital the next day.
Jordan is being held in the DeKalb County Jail.
