ATLANTA -- Georgia Lottery officials announced late Tuesday morning that the jackpot for Tuesday night's Mega Millions jackpot has been raised to $636 million.
For a single winner, the jackpot would pay out over 29 years or as a lump-sum payment of approximately $341 million.

According to lottery officials, the odds of winning the big prize are about one in 259 million. The last jackpot winning ticket was drawn on October 1, for $189 million to a single winner in Maryland.
This prize is the second largest lottery prize in North American history. The largest prize ever drawn was on March 30, 2012, for $656 million. Three winning tickets -- one each in Maryland, Illinois and Kansas -- were drawn in that game.
