ATLANTA -- Police say a man who was shot while riding a bus in Atlanta has been hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
According to Atlanta Police, the man was shot in the leg while he was a passenger on a MARTA bus travelling near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Lynhurst Drive.
Spokesman for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, Lyle Harris, says a suspect shot into a bus Tuesday afternoon and the injured passenger was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
The man was alert, breathing and conscious at the time of his transport.
Harris says it's unclear whether the victim was targeted or if the shooting was random. Information on the victim's age was not immediately available.
No arrests have been made and a description of the suspect was not available.
