ORLANDO - Our NBC Orlando sister station WESH reported that a Delta Air Lines flight from Miami to Atlanta was forced to make an emergency landing in Orlando on Monday afternoon.
The flight, according to WESH, landed due to a mechanical issue.
Delta released a statement on Monday evening, saying:
The crew of Delta flight 362 from Miami to Atlanta followed established procedures to divert to Orlando International Airport Monday afternoon after a landing gear door indicator light was observed in the flight deck. The aircraft landed safely and Delta technicians are examining the aircraft. Customers may be re-accommodated on other flights pending review of the aircraft. Safety is always Delta's top priority.
No injuries have been reported.
