Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, was indicted by a federal grand jury on Nov. 19.
U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said the 33-year-old rapper was found in possession of one gun on Sept. 12 and a different gun on Sept. 14. Both times, he displayed the loaded guns and threatened several people, including police and his attorney.
"The indictment charges that on two separate occasions, this defendant, a convicted felon, threatened individuals, including the police and his attorney with a gun," Yates said in a statement. "This is how people get hurt, and we are committed to ensuring that convicted felons not have guns."
Each charge of firearm possession by a convicted felon carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
