JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- A Georgia family with five children has been rescued after their boat became disabled off Nassau Sound.

The family's boat was drifting toward shore and its anchor would not hold Saturday afternoon.

A helicopter was dispatched to make an aerial rescue but weather conditions and the boat's rigging made it unsafe.

A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission boat reached James Lee of Darian, Ga., his five children and brother-in-law at about 8:30 p.m.

Four children between the ages of 2 and 14 were rescued from the boat and the two adults and a 15-year-old boy were then pulled out by a Coast Guard helicopter.

The family was reunited at Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville in Atlantic Beach.
