GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- An accident in northern Gwinnett County resulted in a fire and large fuel spill.
The wreck happened shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday on Interstate 85 south at mile marker 124.
The Georgia Department of Transportation said two tractor trailers collided just north of the Hamilton Mill exit. Both vehicles slid off the road and caught fire.
The accident also resulted in a diesel leak and fuel spill on the highway. I-85 south was shut down until about 1 p.m.
Gwinnett County Fire Lt. Colin Rhoden said one of the tractor trailer drivers suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital, while the other was treated on the scene. No names were released.
