Volunteers serve up Christmas dinner

ATLANTA -- Hosea Feed the Hungry is asking charitable Atlantans to donate turkeys for their annual Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday.

According to a representative from Hosea Feed the Hungry, the organization is in need of about 150 more turkeys in order to feed participating families, this year.

On Monday evening, a coalition -- including NBC legend Dale Ellis, Mel Breeden of Big Cat Records, David Knight of The Christian Social Network and Atty. Kemay Jackson of KL Jackson Law -- will deliver 350 turkeys to the organization to aid in their shortage.

The organization said it was down 500 turkeys, last week. But they're expecting the community to donate enough turkeys to make-up for their deficit.

Community members can donate turkeys at Hosea Feed the Hungry at 1035 Donnelly Ave in southwest Atlanta. For more information, call 404-755-3353.

The organization's annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center.
