ATLANTA -- Authorities have arrested a man they think is responsible for a fatal shooting in June.
According to police, the shooting occurred on Dogwood Drive on June 22. Authorities discovered the deceased victim, inside a vehicle, on the 3200 block of Kingston Road after receiving a "person shot" call.
Atlanta Police have reason to believe 25-year-old Tyler Jarel Thomas is responsible for this murder and were able to secure arrest warrants for him on November 4.
Thomas was located in Villa Rica on Monday and transported to the Fulton County Jail. He is being charged with Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder, Criminal Attempt to Commit Armed Robbery and Criminal Attempt to Commit a Felony.
The suspect was apprehended by the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
According to the Fulton County Sheriff's Department, Thomas made his first appearance on Tuesday; he was not granted a bond. Thomas' next court appearance is scheduled for December 3.
