ATLANTA -- For years, commuters have grown frustrated as they've watched more apartments and more drivers flock to Huff Road, while the street itself has remained the same.
Many say it's past time for the city of Atlanta to widen Huff Road.
Some of the people who have found themselves in a traffic jams that can stretch a quarter mile or more reached out to 11Alive's Commuter Dude.
City councilwoman Felecia Moore says there are plans to widen Huff Road, but the city lacks the funding.
The Public Works Department says engineers are looking at re-timing the traffic light at Howell Mill Road in hopes that it will help traffic flow.
Moore is hoping future infrastructure bonds will include improvements to Huff Road.
