Short Term

Frost advisory in effect for most of the metro area NW of Fulton county through tomorrow morning. I think that tonight there could also be a freeze in some locations NW of the metro area. The rest of us will see temps in the morning fall into the mid to upper 30's. Then the cold front arrives at around 8am in the metro area with a colder shot of Canadian air coming in!

Winds will start to increase at around 9-10am and they will steadily increase throughout the day as that cold air moves in. Temps will struggle to even make it into the 50's on Friday as some places in the mountains will stay in the lower 40's throughout the day!

If you have any plans to go out tomorrow night to any of the local high school football games prepare for a cold night in the bleachers. Once the sun goes down and the winds die out we will see temps rapidly drop into the lower 40's and upper 30's! It will be a cold night for sure, might be a good night for a fire in the fireplace!

Saturday morning with the clear skies and light winds we will see a freeze across most of metro Atlanta. Most of the northern suburbs will drop into the lower 30's and upper 20's!! For the rest of the N Georgia area we will see upper 20's and a few lower 30's as well.

By Saturday afternoon we will see temps make it back into the mid and lower 60's!
