ATLANTA -- The Fulton County school district will move its headquarters from south Fulton County to Sandy Springs, a move the district's superintendent says is prompted by a population shift.
The move is part of a plan that will consolidate six administrative buildings into three, said Superintendent Robert Avossa.
The plan also includes two new learning centers - one in Sandy Springs, and another on Flat Shoals Road in southeast Atlanta.
Officials estimate the plan will save the district about $22 million.
