ATLANTA -- Several Atlanta Falcons players were joined by team president Rich McKay at M. Agnes Jones Elementary School Tuesday morning. The visit was part of the NFL's Hometown Huddle program.
Strong safety William Moore and cornerback Desmond Trufant led the contingent of players on hand for the event. Today the entire 53 man roster and practice squad players were out and about in the community. Even the Falcons cheerleaders were in the gym with the children at M. Agnes Jones. Tuesday afternoon Tight End Tony Gonzalez and wife October stopped by Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Scotish Rite to host the 4th annual Pink Party. The party, held in the Zone, featured October painting girls' nails, giving makeovers and providing wigs while Tony gave the boys a little football lesson. Tony and October gave autographed shadow buddies to the children as well.
The Falcons have consistently led the National Football League in community outreach. The team is on the road Sunday in Arizona to play the Cardinals in a 4pm game.
