It's called Serenbe, and it was the first community in the heart of Chattahoochee Hills. Its founders, Steve and Marie Nygren and Rawson Haverty, created plans for a utopia of sorts, where everyone can walk, live, work, shop, farm and enjoy life. They combined the words "serenity" and "be" to create the name.
Enjoy fare from the Blue Eyed Daisy Bakeshop; stay at the Inn at Serenbe, which has 20 rooms as well as conference facilities; and visit the famed 30-acre farm where much of the food served in Serenbe's restaurants is grown.
Actors from across metro Atlanta are eager to perform at the Serenbe Playhouse. The community also has an artist-in-residence program.
