SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) -- The family of a south Georgia teenager found dead inside a rolled-up wrestling mat in his school is getting assistance from the Florida attorney who helped push for a criminal prosecution in the shooting of Trayvon Martin.

Tallahassee-based attorney Benjamin Crump said Thursday he's joining legal efforts to reopen an investigation into the death of 17-year-old Kendrick Johnson of Valdosta.

The teen was found dead Jan. 11, his body stuck upside down inside the mat in his high school gym. Authorities determined the death was a freak accident, but Johnson's family believes he was slain.

Crump says he anticipates some type of legal effort to change the official manner of death in Johnson's case from accidental to homicide. He says the case is "a murder mystery that will be solved."
