CANTON, Ga. -- Cherokee County School Board member Kelly Marlow was found guilty of two ethics violations brought against her by the school board during a Wednesday night hearing.

Marlow is accused of reporting problems around the school system to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. However, she claimed that she did nothing wrong and the she was simply reporting the problems she saw around the county.
The Cherokee County School Board held the ethics hearing on Wednesday evening in the School Board Auditorium to address Marlow's whistle-blowing. Marlow was represented by her brother and she testified on her own behalf.
Marlow was ordered to pay $3,600 in restitution for her ethics hearing fees. She had no comment once the punishment was assessed.
