Falcons' Biermann, Ewing hit with season-ending injuries

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Despite the victory over the St. Louis Rams Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons lost two key players to injuries for the rest of the season.

Defensive end Kroy Biermann went out with a torn Achilles tendon, while fullback Bradie Ewing went down with a separated shoulder.

Both players were placed on injured reserve by the Falcons Monday afternoon.
