ATLANTA -- Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane was arrested early Saturday morning near Moreland Ave and East Confederate Ave.
The incident took place just after 1 a.m. when Atlanta Police Department officers responded to a call of a person armed in the area.

Upon arrival, officers were flagged down by the caller, who then advised he was concerned about Mane's health and behavior.

Officers approached and began to speak to Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis.
Davis became increasingly agitated with the officers and began cursing and threatening them.

Davis was then taken into custody where it was discovered that he had a small amount of marijuana and a handgun with him.
He was transported to Grady Hospital as a precaution.
