FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. -- A county worker is recovering after being hit in the head while trying to clear a large limb from a Rome roadway.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
According to Floyd County police, 50-year-old Bobby Jarman was clearing the limb from Woodruff Street when he leaned up to reach the limb, was hit by the limb and fell backward and hit the pavement.
Jarman was transported to Floyd Medical Center with severe head trauma. No word on his condition, at this time.
