Major backups on I-85 SB due to tractor trailer accident

ATLANTA -- A tractor trailer accident is causing major backups on I-85 south at the Senoia Road exit in South Fulton county. 

According to GDOT, the accident happened around 5:30 p.m. when a tractor trailer rolled over on a car. Fairburn Police say the driver and the passenger of the car were injured and transported along with the driver of the tractor trailer. 

Motorists travelling on I-85 SB are being advised to use alternate routes or allow for extra time to get through the area. 

And on I-20 WB in Douglas County a multi-vehicle accident has left one of 2 lanes blocked and heavy congestion in the area. GDOT says a tractor trailer jackknifed near mile marker 28. 

No word on injuries in the accident.
