ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks said their upcoming preseason schedule has been finalized, and features neutral site road games in Biloxi and Asheville.
The Hawks will run a seven-game preseason schedule, which has them playing the San Antonio Spurs, the Memphis Grizzlies and the Indiana Pacers at Philips Arena on Oct. 17, Oct. 20 and Oct. 22, respectively.
A road game in Miami against the world champion Heat kicks off the preseason on Oct. 7. An away game against the Charlotte Bobcats in Asheville -- about 200 miles away from Atlanta, but only 125 miles from Charlotte -- is on tap for Oct. 8, along with a matchup with the newly-renamed New Orleans Pelicans in Biloxi is set for Oct. 13.
The Hawks will close out the preseason in Dallas against the Mavericks on Oct. 23 -- which is where the NBA regular season opens for the Hawks, just a week later, on Oct. 30.
