ATLANTA -- Two people were shot and a third suffered a heart attack after an apparent robbery at an illegal gambling business in southwest Atlanta.
The robbery happened at around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday at Lee Street and Poole Place.
Atlanta Police Capt. Scott Kreher said three suspects tried to rob the business. They shot one person in the stomach and another in the leg. Both victims are in stable condition at Grady Memorial Hospital.
A third person on the scene suffered a heart attack while watching the shootings, Kreher said. That victim's condition was not available.
Kreher said the suspects were driving a silver Ford Taurus. None of the victims could provide descriptions of their attackers.
