Kennesaw man killed in Marietta motorcycle wreck

MARIETTA, Ga. -- Police said a 56-year-old Kennesaw man was killed when his motorcycle was struck by a car late Wednesday night on Cobb Parkway in Marietta.

It happened at about 10:35 p.m. Investigators said Michael A. Michael was killed when his Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling southbound on Cobb Parkway was struck by a Mazda Millenia attempting to turn left from the northbound lanes onto White Avenue.

The Mazda was driven by Chevelle Gore, 21, of Powder Springs.

Michael was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the crash remains under investigation Thursday morning, and that charges are pending.
