ATLANTA -- Atlanta Police have arrested a 15 year old accused of at least three armed robbery attempts in southeast Atlanta Monday evening.
The crime spree began at around 10 p.m., when two people robbed someone at gunpoint at the intersection of Woodland and Eden avenues, according to Atlanta Police Officer Kim Jones.
About 15 minutes later, a second armed robbery took place on nearly Memorial Drive.
The two suspects, who were riding a motorized scooter, attempted a third robbery on Kent Street when they were spotted by police, Jones said.
The suspects began a chase but quickly crashed the scooter, which was stolen, according to Jones. They ran, but cops managed to catch one of them. His name was not released because of his age.
Police found three cell phones and a revolver on the teen, Jones said. A second gun was found at the crash site.
No one was hurt in any of the robberies.
The second suspect has not been caught or identified. Jones said police are now looking into the possibility that the two suspects committed other robberies in the area.
