ATLANTA -- The storms that swept through metro Atlanta overnight caused damage, including downed trees and power outages, in several areas.

As of 6:30 a.m., about 930 Georgia Power customers were still without power.

A tree fell and knocked out power to several homes on Collier Road just west of Piedmont Hospital in northwest Atlanta. The fallen tree has also closed Collier between Overbrook Drive and Evergreen Lane.

Another tree and some power lines came down shortly before 5 a.m. Monday on Delowe Drive SW near Campbellton Road in southwest Atlanta. Part of the road is blocked; 11Alive traffic anchor Elle Duncan recommends taking Cascade Road as an alternate route.

Power outages were also reported on Wimbledon Road NE near Monroe Drive in Midtown, due to a fallen tree.

Flooding to South Hairston Road in DeKalb County has blocked one eastbound lane near Woodway Drive in Redan.

No one was injured when a large tree fell on a car outside a home on Goldsmith Road in DeKalb County at around 3:30 a.m.
