ATLANTA -- Atlanta police are warning drivers to look out for heavy traffic this weekend.

Beginning Saturday, three major events will bring thousands of people to downtown and midtown; at the same time, the DOT is expecting to close three lanes of traffic for construction on the downtown connector.

Qualifying rounds for the BB&T Atlanta Open Tennis Tournament begin Saturday morning and are expected to last into the afternoon.

At noon, hundreds are expected to flock downtown to the Richard P. Russell Federal Building, supporting the "Justice for Trayvon" rally.

Saturday afternoon, the Georgia Dome will be packed for the CONCACAF Gold Cup soccer matches. Games are at 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

The GA DOT will close lanes in two areas: Northbound I-75 between I-20 and Andrew Young BLVD. and Westbound I-285 between GA-400 and Roswell road. DOT officials announced up to three lanes will be closed in both areas.
