Forecast for Remnants of Chantal
The remnants of Chantal are taking some serious shear on the western side and is really losing all identifiable characteristics of a tropical storm. The latest visible satellite shows almost all t-storm activity dying, and whatever low level circulation that was there yesterday is now gone.
As for where I think this "thing" whatever it will be by Friday, I think it is going to follow the heels of an upper low that is over Cuba right now towards the west coast of Florida. Then the ridge in the center of the US will push the next upper wave and cold front down in this direction which will then take that upper low and force it west towards Texas. The wave formerly known as Chantal will then basically skirt the Gulf Coast and head towards Texas as well.
