MABLETON, Ga. -- Four men have been arrested in connection with the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian on Mableton Parkway on the morning of June 30.
According to authorities, the pedestrian, 36-year-old Joshua Heath Chellew was struck by a vehicle, transported to Grady Memorial Hospital and pronounced dead. The suspects fled the scene.
On July 1, authorities arrested four men and charged them with felony murder, aggravated assault and violation of the Georgia Street Gang Act. The actual driver of the truck that struck Chellew turned himself into Cobb County, however he will not face charges, at this time.
The four have been identified as: Jekari Strozier, 19 and Antion Pass, Johnathan Anthony and Kemonta Bonds, all 18.
All four suspects are being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
