Marist basketball coach, wife arrested for embezzlement

BROOKHAVEN, Ga. -- An assistant basketball coach at Marist School and his wife have been indicted for theft.

Emmett Hall and Pauline Berry-Hall are accused of embezzling $150,000 from the Monarch Beverage Company, where Berry-Hall worked.

DeKalb County District Attorney's spokesperson Erik Burton said Berry-Hall was an accountant and logistics manager for the company, where she prepared payments and recorded accounts payable.

She is accused of using a company credit card to pay personal expenses, opening an American Express card in Monarch Beverages' name and using it on herself, and depositing company money into her husband's PayPal account, Burton said.

Berry-Hall has been charged with forgery, theft and identity fraud, while Emmett Hall faces a charge of theft by receiving.
