ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Track Club's AJC Peachtree Road Race has many traditions.
Among the traditions is the annual t-shirt awarded to the runners when they finish, as well as the secrecy surrounding the design of each year's t-shirt.

Only a relatively few people know what the top-secret design is each year, until runners open their t-shirt gift bags.
About 30 people in a vocational program for the developmentally disabled are among those in the know. They work for Jewish Family and Career Services, and since Memorial Day they have been packing all 60,000-plus t-shirts into those plastic gift bags.
This is an important tradition for them. They work from their hearts. With the pride that comes from a job well done.
I watched, and listened.
