ASHBURN, Ga. (AP) -- Police in south Georgia say they've arrested a man in connection with a triple shooting at hotel that left a woman dead and two other people injured.
Ashburn Police Chief Joe Saxon said 41-year-old Marilyn Patterson was killed in the Sunday night shooting and a suspect identified as Joshua McKelvin has been arrested.
Authorities say Patterson and McKelvin were arguing inside a hotel room and the dispute ended in gunfire. After Patterson was killed, police say shots were fired toward a group of people who were outside the hotel. Saxon says one victim was treated for a leg wound and has been released. He says the other victim underwent surgery and is in stable condition.
It's unclear if McKelvin has an attorney.
